TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF TRAVEL TO THE LODGE AT ANNUPURI
Effective 25th October 2009

Please read carefully.

Travel Insurance

  • TRAVEL INSURANCE IS COMPULSORY and should include at least a MedEvac option, provision for snow sports and compensation for lost trip days due to unforeseen circumstances or emergencies.
  • A copy of your travel insurance document must be presented to our lodge manager on arrival.

Bookings

  • 30% deposit is required per person to secure traveling dates.
  • All bookings considered open until deposit received.
  • Bookings show as available until monies show in TLAA/FIRST RESORT account.
  • Bookings will not be held without deposits.
  • All deposits are 100% non-refundable.

Payments

  • Balance of payment is required to be paid on arrivial and is non-refundable .
  • All prices quoted are for The Lodge At Annupuri and DO NOT include international airfares OR extra nights needed in Tokyo/Osaka prior to or after your trip.
  • Once full payments have been made, you will be sent an itinerary confirming all details of your trip.
  • Confirmation will be sent via email when any money is paid to confirm that we have received your payment.
  • There are no refunds or partial refunds given for poor snow, inclement weather or late departures from a designated trip date or itinerary.
  • In addition, there are no refunds given for reasons pertaining to unstable global, national, or local political or natural conditions that do not directly pose a threat to the safe operations of our lodge.
  • All trips are non refundable 
  • Transfer of dates must be 30 days prior to travel and are based on availability.
  • A fee of $100 AUD applies to date transfers.
  • Any transfer of dates is pending availability..
  • Payment is accepted as cash transfers only. 
  • Transfer fee is responsibility of individual or agent.
  • All EFT transfers must be in AUD equivalent of YEN price.
  • Bar beverages & other miscellaneous expenses are to be paid for before departing The Lodge At Annupuri. Lodge manager accepts payments of cash or credit card (MasterCard, Visa & Bankcard only)
  • A 5% processing fee applies to any payment made with credit cards.

Airline Related Information

  • THE LODGE AT ANNUPURI/FIRST RESORT is not responsible for airline board fees or baggage policies.
  • THE LODGE AT ANNUPURI/FIRST RESORT does not accept any responsibility for late arrival or non-arrival of Snowboards, Skis, or any other luggage.

Sapporo - Annupuri Transfers 

  • Guests must arrive within 1 hours of shuttle departure time from Sapporo, guests who do not arrive in time will be transfered via the next available Whiteliner bus service at their cost.
  • THE LODGE AT ANNUPURI/FIRST RESORT is not responsible for ANY accommodation or incidental costs in Sapporo. 

International Transfers

  • THE LODGE AT ANNUPURI/FIRST RESORT is not responsible for airline board fees or baggage policies.
  • THE LODGE AT ANNUPURI/FIRST RESORT does not accept any responsibility for late arrival or non-arrival of snowboards, snowboard bags.
  • THE LODGE AT ANNUPURI/FIRST RESORT will not be held responsible for missed flights or delayed departures of flights. 
  • THE LODGE AT ANNUPURI/FIRST RESORT will not be held responsible for any lost or damaged luggage.
  • All prices quoted are for THE LODGE AT ANNUPURI/FIRST RESORT and DO NOT include international airfares OR extra nights needed in Tokyo/Osaka/ Sapporo prior to or after your trip.
  • Booking and payment of international flights, taxes, and insurance are the responsibility of individuals and booking agents.
  • Any group/individual who misses connection to THE LODGE AT ANNUPURI/FIRST RESORT due to cancelled/delayed or missed flights will only be transferred to THE LODGE AT ANNUPURI/FIRST RESORT at an additional charge equal to the cost of this transfer/handling.
  • Costs associated with facilitation of transfer will be at expense of guests.
  • THE LODGE AT ANNUPURI/FIRST RESORT accepts no responsibility or expenses for missed/cancelled or delayed international or domestic flights.

Documents

  • Passports must be valid for at least 6 months from the date you enter Japan.

Right of refusal

  • THE LODGE AT ANNUPURI/FIRST RESORT and their representatives reserve the right to remove guests from the lodge and cancel accommodation for any reason with no refund.
  • THE LODGE AT ANNUPURI/FIRST RESORT reserve the right to refuse any booking for any reason.

Damages

  • Any equipment or building damaged/lost, beyond the normal wear, by guests will be charged to guests at the replacement cost of same.

 

Lodge Rules

Please be aware we are a multi-guest lodge with up to 30 guests at any time and to ensure we run smoothly and you have the most enjoyable stay possible, we have the following set of rules.

Please keep noise to a minimum after 10.00PM

As with all of Japan, no outside shoes are allowed past the white sliding door at the entrance, we have provided slippers for inside the house and they are located on the rack next to the door.

We are happy for you to consume alcohol in the lodge but this is restricted to the rooms, unless the alcohol has been purchased at “Luckyfingers Bar”. All guests are welcome to run a tab at the bar and simply need to provide a credit card to set up a tab.

We have a waxing station for equipment located in the equipment room. This is available for guests to use free of charge. Please ensure you leave the waxing station as you find it. Should you require waxing or equipment tuning we can provide this service.

We provide a full laundry service at a charge of 500Y per basket there are laundry baskets provided in each room. Please bear in mind laundry takes 24 hours and you need to let the Guest Services Manager know if you have laundry to be done.

All linen is provided by Annupuri Lodge and any damages to linen will be charged to guest accounts. Damage of any kind to the lodge or lodge equipment above normal wear and tear will be charged to guest accounts.

Please be aware that fire is a very real danger in snow lodges so only staff are allowed to tend the wood burning stove in the living area as well as the heater. Use of candles, incense or any naked flame is strictly forbidden.

Our kitchen is open-style and you may use the facilities to heat and eat meals at lunch or dinner. Please note that guests may only eat their own food. Please make sure to thoroughly clean all dishes and cooking area immediately after use. Please do not do any cutting on the wooden table in the center, rather use the sink-side work area with cutting board for cutting. When cooking make sure to use exhaust fan and turn off when finished. Please observe the rules for separation of trash that the staff has briefed you upon arrival. Please note that the kitchen is closed at 8:30 every night. After 8:30, the kitchen is off-limits until the following day.

Smoking is an outdoor activity at Annupuri Lodge and smokers are not allowed to smoke past our bottom step. Smoking in any other area of the lodge is forbidden.

Japan has some of the world’s harshest laws in regards to the use of drugs, Annupuri Lodge has a zero tolerance policy on drugs of any kind.

Children under 14 years of age must be accompanied/supervised by an adult at all times while in the lodge. A baby sitting service is available if required. Please let management know if you require this.

   5 Please be aware of obey all posted signs

All lodging fee must be paid prior to check-in and all bills generated during guests stay must be paid prior to check out.

Check-in time is 3:00pm Check-out time is 12:00pm

Please be aware of our fire evacuation procedure (see attached sheet) and take the time to familiarize yourself with the emergency exits.
